So. Easton, MA – HUB Technical Services, LLC., an area IT Managed Services Provider located in South Easton, MA, provided the technology and wireless for MassHire Greater Brockton Workforce’s MOVE Maker mobile classroom, helping the workforce board and Career Center extend services into the greater Brockton area community.

This is a one-of-a-kind mobile classroom that will greatly benefit members of the community as well as employers. The vehicle will act as an outpost for training and program recruitment to help members of the community upskill and/or prepare to enter or re-enter the workforce.

“One of the MassHire initiatives was to have a mobile classroom that can deliver training services onsite at employers and at locations where under-served people can benefit most to have immediate access to employment training related assistance,” said Joseph Lovetere, HUB Tech’s President. “HUB Tech is pleased to donate HP Chromebooks for the MOVE Maker van to allow 9 students and an instructor Internet access,“ Lovetere stated.

The MassHire GBWB initiated the MOVE Maker project with Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School a few years prior but encountered several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and remote learning. From October 2021 to January 2022, students in five of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School’s vocational programs repaired and converted a decommissioned Brockton Area Transit Authority passenger bus into a mobile learning lab for MassHire GBWB.

“To have partners like BAT who provided the vehicle, Southeastern to help with renovations and modifications, and HUB Tech to lean on for technology, MassHire GBWB is well equipped to better serve our customers and partners. It’s been a true public/private partnership to the benefit of our community,” said John Nesti, Employer Services Manager, for MassHire GBWB.

“A vision was put into motion and now the rubber is meeting the road! MassHire’s MOVE Maker has the mobility, space, and technology to make a difference in our community immediately,’ Nesti declared.

The MassHire MOVE Maker mobile classroom made a recent visit to HUB Tech for the HUB team to tour the mobile classroom and see the impact HUB Tech is making by being an integral part of providing technology for the mobile classroom.

Look for the mobile learning lab this summer as it’s “on the road” and already making an impact.
